BVC RESOURCES

Speaker Events and Panels

Our guest speaker and panel events will feature individuals with a wealth of experience, allowing our members to ask open-forum questions. Our speaker selection is industry agnostic, welcoming a diverse array of professionals to share their experiences and thoughts with our members.

Past speakers have included Mike Leeds (namesake of the Leeds School of Business), David Brown (co-founder of Techstars), and Jaclyn Hester (Partner at Foundry Group). For a list of all of our speakers, check out the Past Speakers tab!

BVC Internship Pipeline

Boulder Venture Club works with startups and companies in the area and in our network to find incredible internship opportunities for our members to pursue. If you are interested in finding an internship with one of our connections, keep an eye out on our weekly emails. We will have all positions posted on the email for the week, with information on how to apply and who to contact for more information. Questions? Make sure to contact our Director of Professional Development!

Get Seed Funding

Boulder Venture Club works closely with the Get Seed Funding team to give students the opportunity to raise the initial seed funding necessary to bring their ideas to life! If you have a startup project that you believe has the potential to work, come pitch your idea to the Get Seed Funding Team! For more information on how to sign up, visit the Get Seed Funding tab!

CU Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Boulder Venture Club works very closely with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship initiative here at CU Boulder. This initiative aims to inspire CU students to become the next generation of innovators. For more information on resources that this organization offers, click the button on the right!

Pitch Nights and Local Founders

Many CU Boulder students work on startups of their own! We want to give these students the chance to pitch their idea to other members in BVC. This gives our members the chance to potentially join these startups if they are hiring, learn more about the challenges students have faced, and network with students that have existing startups. We also like to bring in local founders in the Boulder area to talk about some of the challenges they have faced on their journey to becoming a successful company.

VCIC

The Venture Capital Investment Competition is a national competition that occurs annually, hosted by UNC. The competition tests competitors' abilities in the art of venture investing. Teams listen to pitches from real founders, and construct a term sheet as if they were investing in the company. Reach out if you are interested in joining the undergraduate team.

Girls Into VC

CU Boulder now officially has a Girls Into VC chapter! If you are interested in getting more involved in this incredible organization, or want to learn more about it, make sure to come to the weekly meetings to network with other women interested in the world of startups and venture capital!

Workshops

Over the course of each semester, BVC looks to host a couple of workshops, each focusing on something that students interested in this area should learn more about. We bring in guest speakers, create activities, and give members the opportunity to work in teams and get the most out of the workshop experience. Keep an eye on the weekly emails to find out when our next workshop will be!

CU Idea Forge

The CU Idea Forge is an excellent resource that BVC wants members to know about. For any students interested in creating their own products, the Idea Forge is the perfect place to go. They can assist you in creating prototypes for these products, and connect you with resources to get your idea out there!
